BRAND HISTORY

During the 1970’s, there was a chemist by the name of Mr. Adolphus who lived with his wife Lizeth in a hamlet in Switzerland. They were grateful for the wild purple mallow grown in front of their house and thought of them as a unique gift from heaven. Lizeth believed that the purple mallow was a valuable plant and had medicinal effects on the body. She used to slice the flower petals piece by piece to make her tea. She also put the flower petals into her bathing water. She felt that the mallow could give her energy and was good for her skin.

Unfortunately, Lizeth’s face was severely injured one day in a serious traffic accident. After numerous surgeries, her life was spared and her wounds and fractures recovered but her deep scars remained too obvious on her face. This threw Lizeth into a devastated state and she withdrew from her surrounding and locked herself away into her home. She was too afraid that the people might be frightened by the scars on her face.

Mr. Adolphus felt miserable for the sadness of his wife. So he put away all the mirrors in the house and sought for every possible ways to find treatment for her. But to his disappointment, no matter how hard he tried with the countless treatments, the scars could not be removed. All the treatments made Lizeth refuse to seek further and once again had retreated to seclusion in their home surrounded by purple mallow.

But Mr. Adolphus did not give up. He worked days and nights in his private laboratory to find that effective concoction. With continuous experiments and improvements, he finally discovered an elixir for his wife.

When the concoction was mixed with a non-irritating balsam, the first La Mauve cream was created.
